How to: Databases

This chapter explains how to use the databases in VLXE.

VLXE uses 2 databases to store parameters used in the calculations

•DIPPR (Access database file) - Is used to get standard properties like critical temperature and ideal gas heat capacity

•VLXEParameters (SQL Server 2005 database file)  - Is used to store all other parameters like kij and PC-SAFT parameters.

It is possible to use the VLXE database without DIPPR but this is not recommended. If this is needed please contact VLXE for more information.
